We can now reveal that we have recently started development of limited edition models at 1:18 scale perfectly replicating the unique Ferrari 812 Competizione Tailor Made that sold at auction for $5.1m in New York last October. Limited to just 250 pieces, this special Art Car edition is a celebration of the passion and artistry of Ferrari Centro Stile, and will become a much sought after collectable, especially appealing to Ferrari’s most ardent followers who also appreciate art and design.
Models of the Ferrari 812 Competizione Tailor Made at 1:18 scale are currently available to order on our website. We anticipate first models in the edition to be completed by our artisans in Autumn 2024.
The 1:18 scale model measures over 25 cms/10 inches long and has taken over 900 hours to develop using original CAD design, paint code and livery artwork from Ferrari Centro Stile.
Precisely mixed original automotive paints accurately match the real car’s matte Giallo Tristrato exterior, with scaled down artwork meticulously applied in matte Nero DS Sketch.
This new Limited Edition of 250 1:18 scale models follows in the footsteps of our creation of a unique 1:8 scale model last year. The handcrafted 1:8 model was donated by Amalgam Collection and raised significant funding for the Ferrari Foundation, alongside the real car that fetched $5.1 million USD.

Built using data from a precise digital scan of an original car along with archive photographs, this edition perfectly replicates the car as it was raced to victory by Rudolf Caracciola in the Mille Miglia on the 12th and 13th of April 1931. The model features an opening engine cover that lifts up to reveal a stunning scale recreation of the supercharged 7,065cc six-cylinder engine. The models have been artistically hand painted to show the weathering details present at the end of the thousand miles racing through the very muddy roads of Italy. Limited to just 99 pieces, models of the 1931 Mille Miglia winning car are now available to order on our website.

The Mille Miglia, or thousand-mile race through Italy, was a notoriously difficult and prestigious road race, won to that point only by Italians piloting Italian machinery. Rudolf Caracciola broke that mould with his 1931 Mercedes-Benz SSKL privateer entry, despite Mercedes-Benz being unable to offer factory resources and backing at that time. Ably assisted by his co-driver, Wilhelm Sebastian, Caracciola won the 1000 mile extravaganza, achieving an average speed of 101.1 kph in the race from Brecia to Rome and back.

The 70th single seater constructed for use in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, the SF-24 is the third car of the new ground effect generation and, whilst an evolution of the 2023 car, looks aesthetically very different to its predecessor. White makes a return to the SF-24's livery, after its appearance on the Las Vegas livery last November, alongside yellow, which was last seen in the special 'yellow-touched' livery in Monza in 2022. The yellow longitudinal stripes have not been seen on a Ferrari since 1968, whilst never before have they been paired with white. Red wheel covers also debut, featuring a double white and yellow stripe, and yellow borders the white race numbers on the body and nose.

]]>What an exciting time for Ferrari and for Le Mans. We invite you to take a deep dive into the photoshoot of our first two completed 1:8 scale models of the #51 and #50 Ferrari 499P that raced at the 2023 Le Mans Centenary. These really extraordinary models perfectly replicate the Hypercars that claimed victory and Hyperpole at the Circuit de la Sarthe in the hands of Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi, and Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen.
Demand has been huge from our commercial and private customers alike, with a third of the models in the edition already pre-ordered. Consequently, we are now accepting deposits on further batches of these Limited Edition models with a view to dispatching them to customers in Q3 of this year. We highly recommend placing your order now to secure your 1:8 scale model of the Ferrari 499P.
This edition of the Le Mans winning 499P at 1:8 scale is limited to 499 pieces.
Developed using original CAD data, shared to us by Ferrari.
In the hands of Antonio Fuoco, the #50 broke the Hypercar class record with a lap of 3:22.982. Pier Guidi qualified the #51 in second. It was Ferrari’s first Le Mans pole since 1973, and the 1-2 put them in prime position for the race. The first twelve hours saw the lead change hands numerous times as the Ferraris battled the season dominating Toyotas. The #50 car required six laps in the pits overnight, effectively ending its challenge for the race win.
By morning, the race had turned into a tense duel between the #51 Ferrari and the #8 Toyota. The rivals traded lap times before the decisive moment: Ryo Hirakawa locked the rears and his Toyota hit the barrier at Arnage, creating crucial breathing room for the #51 which required another system restart just twenty minutes from the end of the race. Despite the scare, Pier Guidi guided the Hypercar across the finish line, ultimately one minute and 21 seconds ahead of the Toyota.

]]>We have long wanted to create driver figures that match the quality of our 1:8 models and sit or stand well alongside them. Now we are working closely with a studio in Venice, Italy to originate and hand paint very refined and perfectly posed figures, that accurately represent each driver’s physicality and character. We are starting with a very small edition of only five models of the Bugatti Type 59 accompanied by a standing figure of Jean Pierre Wimille.
Two of the edition of five have already been sold and there are only three driver model pairings available to order. The model can be ordered either in pristine clean pre-race condition, or weathered to reflect the post-race dust and grime.
Order one of the last 3 models and figures in the edition >
This fine 1:8 scale model is based on the car as raced by J.P. Wimille in the Belgian Grand Prix on the 14th of July 1935 at Spa-Francorchamps.
The type of suit Wimille wore, his shoes, his physique and complexion have all been very carefully considered and rendered into this very fine figure.
Wimille qualified fourth and made a fantastic start flying into second position on the opening lap, but the French hope for victory suffered an early retirement after just seven laps due to engine issues. To create the Type 59 model, we captured a very notable and original chassis with an extraordinarily accurate digital scan, and in collaboration with Bugatti's automotive historian, used contemporary photographs and records to develop this stunningly detailed and precise replica of that car as it raced at Spa in 1935.

]]>We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our Aston Martin DB5 Vantage at 1:18 scale is finally here after the incredible success of our earlier 1:8 scale model in 2023. With painstaking attention to every minute detail, the design and engineering teams at Aston Martin have meticulously examined and given their full approval to the prototype and the development process has concluded. We are now accepting orders for this iconic model, with a view to dispatch the first replicas next week.
Often billed as the “most famous car in the world”, the Aston Martin DB5 Vantage is widely considered to be amongst the most beautiful cars ever made and is often labelled as the most attractive built by the British marque. Certainly it is one of the most beloved, thanks largely to its now eternal association with a certain agent of international espionage.
The coming year is set to be another outstanding one, with an exceptionally fine selection of models lined up for development and launch in 2024.

With so much going on with an increasing number of significant partners, plus plenty of projects we cannot yet reveal, it’s a substantial and exciting launch plan!

One of our most anticipated models of 2024, our 1:8 scale recreation of Ferrari's historic Le Mans Hypercar is nearing the end of its development. We can give you a quick glimpse of the pre-approval model, and expect to share a deeper dive with you very soon. ]]>Our partnerships continue to mature with some exciting new developments and opportunities for 2024 in the pipeline with the likes of Alan Thornton, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, INDYCAR and Ferrari, to name a few. Here are a couple of outstanding events we participated in.
The standout moment of the year was the sale for a staggering $90,000 of a unique model of the 'Tailor-Made' Ferrari 812 Competizione that we created and donated for auction at the Ferrari Foundation Charity Gala in New York City in October. The model attracted the admiring glances of F1 drivers Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, as well as Chief Designer Flavio Manzoni, before fetching $90,000 in the auction. All proceeds will be used to fund the education support projects that are the focus of the New York based Ferrari Foundation’s charitable activities.
Earlier in the year a specially commissioned NTT INDYCAR SERIES 1:8 scale model decorated in the livery of the 2023 Detroit Grand Prix, sold for $50,000. Setting at the time a new record for an Amalgam model sold at auction, it raised substantial funds for local charities: Belle Isle Conservancy, Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan, Detroit Public Safety Foundation, Detroit 300 Conservancy and Pope Francis Center.
Our collaboration with photographer Mitch Payne bore rich fruit this year, resulting in a series of exotic composite images of our models. Captured in Mitch's East London Studio, his shoot showcases his dramatic signature style, often with an abstract injection of shape and colour. The phenomenal quality of our models shines through, challenging the viewer to differentiate model from reality.
We were present at many of the most iconic and exclusive races and events across the globe this year. From Retromobile and Goodwood to the Ferrari suite at Le Mans during their historic victory, we were there with our models proudly on display. It was an extraordinary year for us, as we continue to create and extend partnerships with some of the most important events and the strongest brands in the world.
Our deep relationship with Ferrari brought us to Corse Clienti events, and ultimately the Finali Mondiali at Mugello.
McLaren offered us a personal invitation to an exclusive dinner at Nobu Miami, where we presented three 1:18 scale models of the MCL35M, each one signed by Lando Norris and Zak Brown.
Meanwhile, in China, we partnered with DrivePro and THE RAKE magazine to present "Fiorano - Road to Glory", a display of 30 iconic and exquisite model cars representing Ferrari’s history, giving the invited guests an unforgettable experience.
Our models have received unprecedented levels of media coverage over the last twelve months, with much attention generated by pieces published around the Aston Martin DB5, Ferrari Purosangue, Ferrari 296 GTS and Red Bull RB19. Highlights included pieces in the Official Ferrari Magazine, GQ, Drivers Club, NOBLEMAN, duPont Registry, Enzo, Classic Driver, Ramp, Magneto Magazine, Sport Auto Classiques, Autovisie, Route Classiche, Esquire and Club Alfa. Articles about Amalgam and our models were published in a surprising number of languages! We found articles in English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, Chinese, Turkish, Korean, Turkish, Greek, Russian, Hungarian, Ukrainian, Polish, Slovenian, Persian, Vietnamese, Bosnian, Serbian, Arabic, Romanian, Albanian, Czech, Swedish, Indonesian and Portuguese. We are proud and delighted with the media acclaim that the work of our artisans and designers has generated.

For our development and model build teams it's been a busy year, with a stream of new edition model developments and unique projects undertaken. Here is a summary of the new models launched in 2023.
Beginning with one of the most exciting projects we launched this year, the Mercedes-AMG ONE. The 1:8 scale edition was released in January, with the 1:18 scale following in November. The first modern Mercedes GT model we have created, the AMG ONE marks a significant step forward in our collaboration with Mercedes-Benz, opening the door to future developments.
Having already built the LaFerrari Aperta at 1:18 scale, we always intended to follow up with the original coupe, though our plans were significantly disrupted in 2020. We were delighted to finally get the first models to their new owners in November.
A late release in the year, our 1:18 scale model of the Ferrari Daytona SP3 follows the staggering success of our 1:8 scale model, and perfectly captures one of the most important cars Ferrari has ever made, probably the last V12 Maranello will build.
It’s been some years since we created an engine model, and we have taken the finish and detailing to new levels with our precise 1:4 scale recreation of the Ferrari Daytona SP3’s F140HC engine with its seven-speed transmission. The model has received universal acclaim, significantly and very satisfactorily from Ferrari themselves. Limited to an edition of 599 pieces just like the real car, it is a celebration of the most powerful internal combustion engine that Ferrari has ever built.
Having previously modelled the McLaren F1, F1 GTR and MP4/4, we were very excited to be working again with Professor Gordon Murray CBE and the GMA team, to capture the perfectly formed GMA T.50 at 1:8 scale.
Ferrari's elegant 'Thoroughbred', the Purosangue has been a massive success for the company. Our 1:8 scale edition model has been incredibly well received, with many orders for bespoke models placed too.
It was a record-breaking season of dominance for Oracle Red Bull Racing and Max Verstappen this season, and our artisans have worked tirelessly to develop and produce the complete collection of RB19 models at various scales: the car itself at 1:8 and 1:18, the car's nosecone at 1:12, and replicas of the steering wheel at full size, and at 1:4 scale.
Ferrari's race-winning SF-23 provided a glimmer of hope to all non-Red Bull fans in 2023, although Singapore was the exception rather than the rule. By year end we had revealed a full collection of SF-23 models at various scales.
Early 2023 saw the arrival of Ferrari's 2022 car, the F1-75, at 1:18 scale, as well as the car's nosecone at 1:12. Most notably, we also released a 1:8 scale version of the "Touch of Yellow", the 75th Anniversary car, as raced at Monza.
Before we knew the true extent of Max Verstappen's dominance in the 2023 season, we constructed a few super large 1:4 scale models of the Oracle Red Bull Racing RB18, replicating the car the Dutchman drove to victory in his home race at Zandvoort in 2022. The one metre plus long models are limited to an edition of just 18 pieces.
The results of a new partnership with INDYCAR, we released our first NTT INDYCAR SERIES models this year: the official 2022 season livery and Pato O'Ward's 2022 Alabama winner at 1:8 scale. We look forward to extending and creating new partnerships in the world of INDYCAR in 2024.
Our continued collaboration with Formula E this year birthed the new GEN3 platform at 1:8 scale, its unique livery presenting us with a significant challenge. With a recent rebrand and a quality year of competitive racing, we're excited to be aboard for the ride with Formula E.
Revealed just two weeks ago, the Ferrari 296 GT3 at 1:8 scale is truly a phenomenal looking model, loaded with fabulous technical detail. The replacement for the 488 GT3, the 296 GT3 is already a major race winner after victory at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in May. We look forward to further competitive success for the 296 GT3 with its entry into the new World Endurance Championship LMGT3 class next year.
Our much-anticipated models of the Ferrari F2004 at 1:18 scale, as raced to victory by Michael Schumacher in the 2004 Canadian GP, made their debut in the first quarter of the year.
In July, we revealed models of George Russell's and Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes-AMG W13s at 1:8 scale, as raced to that fantastic 1-2 victory in Brazil back in 2022.
Back in February, we unveiled a special edition of just ten McLaren MCL36 full size steering wheels, personally signed at the McLaren Technology Centre by Lando Norris and Zak Brown.
A particular favourite of the team in Bristol, back in July we were tremendously thrilled to reveal our prototype model of the Aston Martin DB5 at 1:8 scale, presented in the iconic Silver Birch. This project, alongside the DB4 GT Zagato we released in 2022, marks a revival of our longstanding partnership with Aston Martin which stretches back over fifteen years to the 2000s. With two exciting new developments in the pipeline, look out for significant announcements in early 2024.
The fruit of a collaboration with exclusive automobile experts Schaltkulisse, the 'MINTY FORTY' was released in early December. A special edition of just 300 models, each piece is finished in Verde Pallido, celebrating both the real Ferrari F40 on which it is based and Sir Stirling Moss’ famous 250 GTO.
Late in the year we were delighted to reveal the return of our original range of Lamborghini models, including the iconic Countach at 1:8 and the Miura at 1:8 and 1:18 scale. We have exciting new developments of cars in the current Lamborghini range planned for 2024 and beyond. Further news will follow early in the New Year.
Another late year development, we introduced the race weathered Ford GT40, as raced to victory by Jacky Ickx and Jackie Oliver in June 1969. This unique edition of just 40 models will be meticulously hand-painted and detailed by our master modelmakers to show every detail of the race dirt. Each piece will be accompanied by an archive quality A1 portrait size Giclée print of the car after its iconic victory.
Our collection of Fine Art Editions, in partnership with automotive artist and photographer Alan Thornton, has really started to gather momentum this year. Following the launch of a collaboration with Aston Martin, Alan has created extraordinary pieces capturing the DB5 and Valkyrie. Most recently we have released Art Prints of the Ford GT40. The introduction of Direct to Aluminium Prints, in addition to Art Screen Prints, has greatly increased the size we can offer in editions or in small collections for owners of significant cars. Having already engaged the attention of other significant figures in the automotive design space, about which we hope to reveal more soon, we know it will not take long for collectors to recognise the craftsmanship and deep artistry Alan brings to his work.
Following the success of our Formula 1 Concept 2022 Sculpture, we were able to release similar miniature sculptures capturing the essence of the current racing machines in the Formula E GEN3 & NTT INDYCAR SERIES. Designed by automotive artist Remco de Reus, these miniature sculptures are beautifully made and highly collectable little pieces of art, perfect for personal or corporate gifting.
At the start of the year, we revealed the first in our new series of hand hammered aluminium body replicas at 1:4 scale: the Ferrari 250 GTO. Utilising the same traditional panel-beating methodology that the original full-size bodies received from Carozzerie Scaglietti in the early 1960s, each piece has been forged from aluminium sheet, forming the panels with a hammer over a buck. The finished pieces measure 1.08 metres (42.5 inches) long and weigh approximately five kilograms. These pieces will be made to order in a choice of finishes: a raw hammered finish, polished, painted as you see here in Rosso Corsa, or in a range of original liveries raced back in 1962/63.
]]>We can now reveal the photoshoot of our first completed 1:8 scale model of the Ferrari 296 GT3. Having received approval from Ferrari's design and engineering teams, following a deep examination of all aspects of the prototype model, replicas of the 296 GT3 are now available to order. Drivers, teams and sponsors of Ferrari GT3 cars, please contact our sales team to order a bespoke, tailor-made build representing every unique detail of your car with our Bespoke Livery Service.
Models are limited to just 199 pieces measuring over 33cm/13 inches long.
Finished in the deep, rich and iconic Rosso Imola paint.
The Ferrari 296 GT3 is the result of the Prancing Horse's vision for GT racing, a sector that has always maintained a close relationship with customers and the greatest transfer of technology and innovation to production cars. The latest version of the Maranello company's two-seater mid-rear-engined sports berlinetta concept that redefines the idea of fun behind the wheel to provide pure enjoyment in pursuit of high performance or everyday driving.
Introducing the most recent development in our established Race Weathered collection: the Ford GT40 at 1:8 scale. This fine model captures the car raced to victory by Jacky Ickx and Jackie Oliver in the 24 Hours of Le Mans on the 14th and 15th of June 1969. Models from the first batch of this special edition are now available to order for dispatch before the end of the year. Further models will likely be weathered to order.
Limited to just 40 pieces, the models will measure over 50cms/20 inches long with weathering details precisely applied by Toby, one of the team of artists in in our Bristol workshop.
Each model is officially sanctioned by the ACO and Ford, and is accompanied by an archive quality A1 portrait Giclée print of the car being ushered down the pit lane after its victory on track.
One of the most iconic racing cars of all time, the Ford GT40 was born out of motorsport’s most infamous grudge. After failing to secure possession of Enzo Ferrari’s much celebrated company, Henry Ford II returned to America empty-handed and declared his desire to crush Ferrari at Le Mans. The result was a car that was to defeat all before it.

]]>We can now reveal that we have partnered with exclusive German automobile dealer Schaltkulisse to immortalise the unique and charismatic ‘Minty Forty’. The Ferrari F40 chassis #88538, sinfully but deliciously repainted in Verde Pallido by Schaltkulisse following its restoration to peak condition, has been precisely replicated as a one-off build at 1:8 scale through our Tailor-Made service.
Schaltkulisse has also commissioned Amalgam Collection to create an exclusive edition of the ‘Minty Forty’ at 1:18 scale which is available to order now. Read on to discover more.
The Ferrari F40 'Minty Forty' at 1:18 scale is limited to just 300 models worldwide, offering a rare opportunity to own an extraordinary collectors piece. Models at 1:18 scale are now available to purchase directly from Amalgam Collection or via Schaltkulisse, with a view to dispatch the first models before Christmas.
Schaltkulisse have availed themselves of Amalgam Collection’s tailor-made service and have commissioned a deeply detailed model replicating every aspect of the 'Minty Forty's' specification. From the Verde Pallido exterior paint colour and the Schaltkulisse branded license plate, right down to the blue Sabelt racing harness, every visible aspect of the car has been perfectly reproduced at scale.
The front and rear covers, like the real car, lift to reveal a finely detailed replica of the 2,936cc twin-turbocharged Tipo V8 engine, whilst the doors also open, revealing the car’s legendarily spartan interior. The completed replica required over 400 hours to cast, fit, fettle, paint and build, and measures over 54 centimetres (21 inches) long.
‘Minty Forty’ is a car with a story to tell. Whilst all 1311 original examples of the Ferrari F40 left Maranello painted in Rosso Corsa, when the chance came to acquire chassis #88538, Schaltkulisse leapt at the opportunity. During the process of restoring the car to peak condition, the team wanted to celebrate the fact that the car was driven and used, instead of being stored and closeted like so many of its contemporaries. Consequently, the car was dressed in the distinctive Verde Pallido, a beautiful shade of green that most famously adorned Sir Stirling Moss’ 250 GTO chassis 3505GT. Little did Schaltkulisse know that the “Minty Forty” would become an internet sensation and, after its presentation at the Caffeine Injection event, followed by a few sightings in Munich and around Lake Como, the car became an instant icon, recognisable wherever it goes.

The second car to join Ferrari’s ‘Icona’ series after the Monza SP1/2, the V12 two-seater car is a futuristic interpretation of the classic sport prototipo, and provokes memories of the spectacular 1-2-3 result for Ferrari in the 24 Hours of Daytona race during the 1967 World Sports Car Championship.
