Ferrari 250 LM

A new Race Weathered project at 1:8 scale

We’re delighted to introduce the most recent in our growing series of Race Weathered models at 1:8 scale: the Ferrari 250 LM, as raced to Ferrari’s last prototype victory at Le Mans in 1965. This unique edition of just 21 models will be meticulously hand-painted and detailed by our master model makers in Bristol to show every detail of the race dirt as the car was driven to a surprise victory by Masten Gregory and Jochen Rindt at the Circuit de la Sarthe. Each of the edition will be accompanied by an archive quality A1 size Rainer Schlegelmilch Giclée portrait print of the car in the latter stages of the race, selected by Amalgam from the Motorsport Images collection. We are now accepting pre-orders for models in this special and strictly limited edition.

Porsche 917 KH

Our new Race Weathered project at 1:18 scale

Our second announcement centres on the latest addition to our Race Weathered 1:18 scale collection: the Porsche 917 KH, as raced to victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1971. This edition is limited to just 100 models which will be individually detailed by our Bristol-based artisans to recreate the car exactly as seen in the image above. Each of the 100 models will be also accompanied by this photograph as shot by Rainer Schlegelmilch, as an archive quality A2 Giclée print of the car mid-race, selected by Amalgam from the Motorsport Images collection. Development of this special edition model is underway and we would encourage customers to register their interest ahead of time to ensure they are amongst the first to know when these models are available to purchase.

Audi R8

Audi R8

The 2005 Le Mans Winner

This special weathered edition of the Audi R8 was built in commemoration of the 15th Anniversary of Audi’s fifth 24 Hours of Le Mans win. Not only was 2005 Audi's fifth win in six years, but the trio of drivers all hit personal milestones: Tom Kristensen surpassed Jacky Ickx's all-time record of six overall Le Mans victories, JJ Lehto's second victory came precisely ten years and a day since his first, and Marco Werner's first triumph at Circuit de la Sarthe saw him become only the eighth driver to complete the Triple Crown of Endurance Racing (overall wins in the 24 Hours of Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Le Mans). These models are built to order. Speak to our sales team for more information.

Ferrari 250 GTO

Ferrari 250 GTO

Class Winner in 1962

Our largest edition of Race Weathered models to date, our Ferrari 250 GTO models are based on chassis 3705GT, as raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on the 23rd and 24th of June 1962 by Pierre Noblet and Jean Guichet. The duo won the GT class comfortably, a huge twelve laps ahead of their closest rival, another 250 GTO run by Equipe Nationale Belge, and sixteen laps ahead of the nearest rival manufacturer. In fact, the #19 car finished second on the overall podium, only five laps behind the outright winners, Olivier Gendebien and Phil Hill in a Ferrari 330 TRI/LM. Noblet and Guichet’s victory sealed class victory for the Scuderia in the 1962 International Championship of Manufacturer after five consecutive victories for the marque in just five races. Despite having four races remaining, Ferrari could no longer be outscored. Ferrari continued this winning streak throughout every subsequent round, winning the championship with a maximum score of 45 points. Their closest rivals were Jaguar, who scored just 16 points.
